For many of us, crackers are an old favorite snack. They offer a nice crunchy way to transport keto-friendly dips to your mouth, or some quick energy in between meals when we need one. There’s something so satisfying about the crispiness, crunchiness, and saltiness. But most crackers are full of carbs (and even sugar), and are *ahem* not exactly keto-friendly.

The Best Keto Crackers
Luckily, there are some great low carb options—they also happen to be gluten free and sugar free! Of all the different keto “cracker” type stuff you can buy (we’ll get to ones you make later) I’ve tried, these are my top picks.
1. Whisps Crackers
These crunchy, airy crackers are made entirely of cheese and baked to perfection. They come in flavors like cheddar, parmesan, and asiago pepper jack. They are gluten-free and contain zero carbs, making them a perfect keto snack.
These are my absolute favorite crackers because they stand up to dips, but more importantly, they’re essentially just cheese! No almond flour, no starches—just crispy cheesy goodness. That’s it. That means they’re super low carb (1 total carb per serving), and are a little easier to fit into my macros than some other options.
There are other parmesan crisps available (like these) but Whisps are my favorite.
2. Pork Rinds
Don’t underestimate the power of pork rinds! These crispy snacks are made from pork skin that’s been fried until golden brown. They’re high in protein, have zero carbs (depending on what flavor you get), and come in a variety of flavors and are available in just about any supermarket.
There are lots of different brands, but my personal favorite is Pork King Good, which is pretty much only available online.
3. Sow Good Super Crackers
Made with a blend of seeds, nuts, and spices, Sow Good Super Crackers are packed with fiber and healthy fats and are available in several flavors. Because of the amount of fiber in these crackers, you’ll notice the total carbs (9) might be a little high, but if you are only concerned about net carbs, these are great, at only 1 net carb per serving.
4. Cali’flour Foods Crackers
These crackers come in three flavors: cheddar, spicy jalapeño, and sea salt & vinegar. Taste wise, these are not my favorite, but they can be perfect for pairing with cheese. Yum! The carb count varies a bit depending on the flavor, but the lowest is the cheddar cheese option with 6 total carbs and 2 net carbs.
5. Fat Snax Crackers
Made with almond flour and coconut flour, these crackers remind me of Wheat Thins. They come in three flavors: Cheddar, Everything, and Sea Salt. Depending on the flavor, the carb count is 5-6 total and 2-3 net, so make sure to be mindful of how much of these you’re eating.
6. High Key Crackers
These crispy crackers are made with almond flour and come in flavors like cheddar and everything. The carb count again varies by flavor, but the everything spice flavor (for example) has 12 total carbs and 2 net carbs per serving.
One thing I really appreciate about this option is that in addition to the per serving information, the nutritional panel tells you what the macros would be if you ate the whole bag. (Very handy for those of us who know that we may be likely to do just that.)
Homemade Crackers
Turns out, making crackers at home is actually pretty simple! Here are three of my favorite options for when I’d rather make my own.
1. 2 Krazy Ketos’ Cheez-Its
Three ingredients with a delicious outcome.
2. Bacon Chips
There’s no real recipe for this. Just cut bacon into squares, and cook until it’s super crispy. That’s it. Bacon chips. They’re so good, they’re basically candy. (protip: you can cut a stack of bacon slices all at once, just use a very sharp knife – then dump it all into a pot at the same time and stir)
3. Keto Chow Rosemary Crackers
This recipe from keto chef Taffy Elrod is savory and absolutely delicious. And, because it uses fresh rosemary, it smells incredible. They’re a great accompaniment to cheeses, soups, salads.
Bonus: Simple Mills Crackers
At 18 total carbs and 16 net carbs, I don’t really recommend these for folks on keto. But if you’re low carb (or if they’re the only option at a party, for example), they’re certainly a better option than crackers made with wheat flour, sugar, etc.
And they do have a pretty short and simple list of ingredients, so there aren’t funny additives or anything like that. Sometimes the ideal options just aren’t available, so it’s good to remember that “good” can be relative at times.
In Conclusion
Whether you’re looking for a crunchy snack, something to dip into your favorite spread, or a low-carb alternative to traditional crackers, these options have got you covered. So go ahead and indulge in these delicious and satisfying low-carb and keto crackers!
P.S.
How about something to put ON the crackers? This Cranberry-Jalapeno Cream Cheese Dip is one of our favorites.
We used allulose instead of sugar and I just pulled out a bag of unflavored pork rinds. Wife says “There is happy in my mouth!” If you’re not into spicy, check out this Bacon Ranch Cheese Ball instead.
