7 Best Keto Chips for Dipping and Snacking, Without Kicking you out of Ketosis

There’s something about the salty, crispy, crunchy nature of chips that can make them hit the spot in a way nothing else can. Here are my favorite keto-friendly options when I am looking for chips for a quick snack, or to use with a dip.

Tortilla-like Options

1. Pork Rinds

When I’m wanting chips for a snack, or to use with a dip, pork rinds are my top choice. They are zero carb (or near zero, depending on the flavor or brand), they stay super crunchy, and they don’t fall apart when you use them for dips. They’re also easy to find at most grocery stores. Do make sure you check the ingredients, though. Some use sugar or maltodextrin in the flavorings, and you don’t want any of that!

2. Quest

I really like this option when I want something even more chip-like. They are pricey, but they have a bunch of flavors, all of which are high in protein and have around 4 net carbs in each bag. They’re perfect on taco salad, but I wouldn’t particularly recommend them for dips (they tend to break rather easily).

I also like that they don’t use almond flour (like many keto goodies do). Even those these aren’t the lowest carb option, I really like the taste and think they’re a great option.

3. Hilo Life Chips

These chips are so tasty that even my non-keto kids still want them. (If that’s not a ringing endorsement, I don’t know what is.) They do use almond flour, but still stay around 3 net carbs per serving.

4. Carnivore Crisps

These are very similar to pork rinds in that they are carnivore-friendly and they are basically meat that tastes like chips! I really like how simple these are, and I don’t have to worry as much about really watching how much I eat.

On the downside, they are very expensive, so that’s why I tend to go for more traditional pork rinds more often, but when I want a salty, crispy snack, I’m more than happy if I have a bag of these to reach for.

5. Atkins Protein Chips

The ingredient list of these gets a little long and a little questionable, but they do taste good, and are certainly preferable to reaching for traditional tortilla chips. Each serving has around 4 net carbs.

Puff-like Options

What about more puff-like chips over more tortilla-like options? Luckily, there are some good options in that direction, too.

6. Schoolyard Snacks

These cheese puffs are soooo good! They use pretty good ingredients and have 2-4 net carbs. (I’ll take that!) They have a few different flavors, as well, which I like to see.

7. Shrewd Foods

This is another option that tastes fantastic! And at 2 net carbs per serving, it’s a great alternative. The only downside is that I find too much of these can cause some GI issues, so that’s just something to be aware of.

Bonus: Chicken Skins

Okay, quick keto hack for you: just take some chicken skins and crisp them up in the oven. Voila! Your own homemade crispy keto-friendly chips.
