I’m from Utah…and if you know anything about Utah, you know we’re famous for our gelatin cuisine. So let’s take a minute today to talk about the best keto-friendly gelatin options out there for the next time you’re in the mood for a bit of a wobble.

Two Things to Note

When looking at store-bought options with “sugar-free” or “zero-sugar” in their name, pay attention to the different sweeteners used instead of sugar. Unsure of which ones you should have on keto? Check out our list of common keto sweeteners.

What about toppings? You can top your sugar-free gelatin with sugar-free whipped cream, like Great Value’s Sugar-Free Whipped Topping. Or you can make your own with this recipe.

Flavored Gelatins

1. Winky

Winky’s sugar-free options are delicious, budget-friendly, and low-carb. They don’t use maltodextrin, a common starch used in processed foods. Starches can raise your blood sugar so I try to avoid it as much as I can.

Besides your typical gelatin, they also offer “parfaits,” which have more total carbs but are creamy and delicious.

2. Great Value

The sugar-free mixes are only one carb per serving, and they also don’t use maltodextrin, so they’re a really good option. The only reason I would rate this second is there aren’t quite as many options, like the parfaits that Winky has.

3. Jell-O

Another great option, Jell-O is a popular gelatin brand that has good sugar-free options. They offer both mixes and pre-made gelatins, which is really convenient; both options have zero total carbs.

Unflavored Gelatins

While not as convenient or on-the-go as the other options, unflavored gelatin has a lot more versatility because you can add your own sweeteners. This kind of gelatin is not only great for making gummies, but it can be used in more savory options, like soups or sauces.

Because gelatin is the main or only ingredient, this version of gelatin is always going to be low in carbs.

4. Thrive Market

This gelatin is your passport to creating a myriad of delightful treats without compromising on your commitment to health-conscious choices. Crafted with simplicity and purity in mind, Thrive Market’s Grass-Fed Beef Gelatin is a versatile ingredient that adds the perfect texture to your culinary creations.

5. Knox

Unleash the power of this kitchen essential to add the perfect wobble, thickness, or structure to your dishes without altering their flavors.

6. Hearthy Foods
